Offline play and sync
AI and pass & play save locally. Results and ratings sync when connected. Clearing browser data removes unsynced games.
Who runs Oya Guess?
Oya Guess is made by fmac. For privacy questions or a deletion request, use the contact options at fmac.ng. Include your display name and approximate match dates so we can locate relevant records; never send passwords or payment credentials.
fmac.ng ↗Your browser and preferences
The game uses a signed guest cookie and a username cookie, set for up to one year, to recognise your browser. Local storage saves language, sound and notification preferences, match-resume details and private symbol flags. Session storage also remembers win celebrations.
Game and rating records
Our database stores player identifiers, display names, match state, secret codes and guess history so the game can run and resume. If you rate the game, we store your player identifier, star rating and timestamps. One saved identity can update its rating.
Purchases and Lagos Life
When playing through Lagos Life, we verify your session and receive player and purchase details. We store purchase identifiers, product, delivery status and remaining boosts, and report game results. Lagos Life handles checkout; Oya Guess does not collect card details. Its own privacy terms also apply.
Analytics, performance and session replay
We use Umami at a.fmac.ng for page visits, selected challenge events and loading and responsiveness metrics. A session recorder captures on-page interactions for replay. These may include visible names, guesses and symbol selections. Do not enter sensitive information in game fields.
Hosting and service providers
Vercel serves the website, and our PostgreSQL database stores game records. Hosting, database and analytics services may process technical information such as requests, IP addresses, browser details and operational logs to provide and maintain the service.
Notifications and your choices
Browser notifications require your permission and can be disabled in Settings or browser controls. Analytics and replay currently load automatically; the game has no in-app analytics opt-out. Browser tracking controls or content blockers may limit collection.
Storage and deletion
Match expiry controls whether a game is playable; it does not automatically delete its database record. We currently have no automatic deletion schedule for game, purchase or rating records. Analytics retention is managed separately in the analytics service. Contact fmac about deletion and available records.
Clearing browser data
You can remove cookies and local storage using your browser. This resets local preferences and guest identity and can remove access to saved guest matches or boosts. It does not delete database records or completed purchase records.
Policy updates
This page describes the current game and its data use. We will update it when that changes. Last updated: 16 October 2026.
